Volunteer on a Garden Workday

Garden workday volunteering is open to all, no experience required (scheduled on the event calendar)
NOTE: No school, club, or corporate groups. We cannot provide volunteer hour confirmation letters.
You'll learn how to plant, prune, identify plants and trees, compost, do basic carpentry, and more! Enjoy nature and meet your neighbors.
Bring gardening-appropriate clothes and shoes as well as water.
There is no secure storage space so please leave your valuables and large bags at home.
Rain or shine, unless weather is dangerous.

Do you have an idea for a public community event, such as an art show, theater performance, poetry reading, concert, crafts workshop, or cultural event? See our events page.

Become a Member

In order to become a member, you must attend a garden meeting (scheduled on the event calendar.

Take part in garden meetings and help make decisions about the garden and events
Join committees and help with gardening, pond care, event planning, infrastructure, social media, and more
Each member is responsible for completing two workdays as well as keeping the garden open for two weekend days per year (from 11am to 5pm)
The membership fee is $25 for individuals or $35 for families
- The fee can be on a sliding scale upon request
